EPIC Engineering took on the ambitious task of developing the Force Main Data Management Application (FMDB) for Orange County Utilities, designed to help identify which infrastructure components were likely to fail and enable preventative measures. By extracting correlations between risk indicators like pipe material, diameter, age, and operational parameter averages of the hydraulic independent manifold systems that comprise the OCU wastewater collection system network, EPIC successfully used advanced technology to develop an innovative solution for better managing risks within this critical infrastructure component, that would better inform their wastewater collection system decisions.

Instead, it provides users the ability to readily access information on pipes failures per 100 miles.
