Work Schedule: 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri, F/T, 40hrs per week Not a C2C or Remote Position

Job Duties:

  1. Collect and document client as-is business processes and participate in analysis and optimization of the processes and develop proposed business processes. 
  2. Work with designers and develop exhibits, schematics and system documentation utilizing 3D and 2D software such as Pro/E, ArcGIS and Revit 
  3. Compile user problems and requirements and provide detailed documentation to the design team. 
  4. Research the industry trends in application of 3D software in clash detection and construction coordination to support field activities. 
  5. Support the development of engineering and application development proposals by reviewing client requirements and supporting solution design. 
  6. Provide technical support to clients in the areas of 3D model maintenance, record drawing management and process optimization. 
  7. Facilitate the design and development of asset management software by providing requirement specifications and testing the modules under minimal supervision. 
  8. Work with the documentation team to assure new functionality is properly documented. 
  9. Work closely with other staff, such as project managers, designers, developers, systems analysts, and other professionals to perform deign and documentation tasks. 
  10. Create the design specification, deployment plans, system manual and other technical documents for modules/design packages. 
  11. Study the industrial and maintenance processes and make recommendations for efficiency of equipment use, including equipment placement. 
  12. Support to troubleshooting problems, providing workarounds and producing patches for customers as required. 
  13. Develop tools and processes for translation of engineering design drawings from diverse platforms into the client-specific standards. 
  14. Create automated templates, algorithms and scripts to produce standard map products and 3D output deliverables. 
  15. Perform quality control review of design deliverables created by junior staff and technicians. 
  16. Participates in peer review of work products such as designs, and test plans produced by other team members. 
  17. Contributes in end to end build management and supports deployments. 
  18. Provides accurate and timely updates to project manager on progress. 
  19. Understand piping engineering requirements including material specifications, pressure ratings, and code requirements, pipe layouts, power plant equipment layouts and equipment arrangement. 
  20. Study Request for Quotes (RFQs) from customers and provided project estimates. 
  21. Prepare project planning, resources planning and submitted quotations to higher management. 
  22. Create parametric 3D models for equipment, components, enclosures, spools, pipe routing between turbine and equipment, interconnect pipe routing for systems. 
  23. Utilize 3D modeling tools, including Smart Plant Suite, Pro/E, UG Nx Solidworks, Acad, and Acad Inventor; extract and create piping isometric drawings and piping spool drawings from 3Dmodels; and create different views and cross-sectional drawings from 3D models; and 
  24. Understand process and instrument diagrams and how they related to the physical arrangement of piping and equipment.

Primary Requirement: 

  • Education: Master of Science (or its foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. 
  • Experience: 36 months experience in the job offered or as a Senior Engineer Power Plant Design. 

Alternate Requirement: 

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (or its foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. 
  • Experience: 60 months experience in the job offered or as a Senior Engineer Power Plant Design. 

Skills: Experience to include, 36 months of experience in: 

  • Create parametric 3D models for equipment, components, enclosures, spools, pipe routing between turbine and equipment, interconnect pipe routing for systems. 
  • Utilize 3D modeling tools, including Smart Plant Suite, Pro/E, UG Nx Solidworks, Acad, and Acad Inventor; extract and create piping isometric drawings and piping spool drawings from 3Dmodels; and create different views and cross-sectional drawings from 3D models. 
  • Prepare project planning, resources planning and submitted quotations to higher management.
